Membership Information

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

Regular

Anyone upon whom the University has conferred a degree or anyone who has completed at least one semester and who has paid his/her annual membership dues is a regular member. The annual National Alumni Association membership fee is $50.00 and local dues are $50.00.

Associate Membership

Associate members shall consist of those persons who have not matriculated at the University but desire to pay the appropriate annual dues and pledge their allegiance and support to Jackson State Univ ersity. The annual National Alumni Association membership fee is $50.00 and local dues are $50.00.

Life Membership

Life membership shall be granted upon (1) submission of an application and (2) payment of the $500.00 Life Membership fee to the Association. Applications must be filed through a chartered chapter of the Association whenever such chapter exists or with the National Office. Life members should continue to pay local dues of $50.00.

Payment of the Life Membership fee may be made as a one time payment or in installments within one fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). Payments made in installments shall require a minimum down payment of $100.00 submitted with the application. Failure to complete payment of the membership fee in the required time will result in forfeiture of the application and the monies paid will be applied toward regular membership for the year only. Life members shall receive a Life Membership card, certificate and lapel pin
