​In support of Jackson State University, it is our pleasure to establish a Book Award for undergraduate students from the Greater Washington, DC Area attending Jackson State University.

 

Criteria for a Book Award

Student must be enrolled as an undergraduate student and a resident of the District of Columbia, Maryland or Northern Virginia.

Application for Book Award

Requests must be submitted at the beginning of each semester by the following dates.

• FALL Semester - Submission by 11:59 pm, September 30

• SPRING Semester - Submission by 11:59 pm, January 31

 

The student should submit the request form below with the following information:

• Student’s Name

• Classification, Major and Grade Point Average

• J Number

• Permanent Mailing Address (District of Columbia, Maryland or Northern Virginia)

• Current/School Mailing Address

• Preferred E-mail Address

• List of Books Needed

 

Award

Based on student need.

Distribution

• Upon approval, an email will be sent to the student confirming the authorization the distribution of funds.

 

NOTE: Students receiving awards from the Ada L. Mason Memorial Scholarship or the JSU Greater Washington, DC Chapter Endowed Scholarship are NOT eligible for the Chapter Book Award.
