The Greater Washington, DC Area Alumni Chapter of the Jackson State University National Alumni Association is proud to serve as the DMV home for Jackson State University alumni, students, families, and supporters.
For more than 50 years, our chapter has helped keep the spirit of Jackson State University alive throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Through scholarship, service, student recruitment, alumni engagement, fundraising, and community partnerships, we continue to advance the legacy of Tiger Excellence in the National Capital Region.

Membership is more than paying dues. It is an investment in our students, our university, and our shared legacy.
Membership Options
The fiscal year for the Jackson State University National Alumni Association, Inc. is July 1 through June 30 of each year. Annual membership dues expire June 30, and membership renewals are due July 1.
Regular Membership ($125)
Benefits include: Membership Card, Lapel Pin, 10% Discount at the JSU Bookstore
Life Membership
(starting at $1000)
Benefits include: Life Membership Card & certificate, Life Membership Lapel Pin, 20% Discount at the JSU Bookstore
Associate Membership ($125)
Benefits include: Membership Card, Lapel Pin, 10% Discount at the JSU Bookstore
Additional Information
Regular Membership
Regular members are those persons and its predecessors who has conferred a degree or anyone who has properly enrolled as a student at the university and has completed twenty-four (24) credit hours of resident work and left the university in good standing and is not currently enrolled as an undergraduate student and have paid the dues for the current fiscal year.
Annual dues are $125 and include both national and local chapter dues.
Life Membership
Life members are those persons who fulfill the requirements for the regular, or associate membership and have the paid the dues associated with being a “member" for life. Life members of the Jackson State University National Alumni Association are asked to pay local chapter dues to remain active with the Greater Washington, DC Area Alumni Chapter.
Life membership (one-time) dues start at $1,000
Annual Local Chapter Dues for Life Members: $50
Associate Membership
Associate members are those persons who have not matriculated at the university, but have paid the appropriate dues for the current fiscal year and pledge their allegiance and support to Jackson State University. Associate members cannot hold constitutional offices. Associate membership is available for supporters of Jackson State University who meet national membership requirements and wish to support the work of the alumni association and local chapter.
Annual dues are $125 and include both national and local chapter dues.
